Behan & Okero is a law practice with chambers in Kisumu and Nairobi. The firm was established in 1988 in Kisumu with its Nairobi operations opening in 2018.  Behan & Okero has maintained its presence in the legal practice in areas of commercial law and in civil and criminal litigation. The firm’s lawyers and staff are dedicated to providing premium service to all our clients in order to handle emerging challenges in various fields of law.
We have served and continue to serve banks and other financial institutions, insurance companies, multinational corporations, local and international investors, local and international non-governmental organisations and individual clients in all areas.  Our practice is centered on delivery of high professional standards, good customer care, efficiency, loyalty and trust. Isaac E. N. Okero

studied law at the University of Buckingham in the United Kingdom and signed the Roll of Advocates in December 1989. He joined the firm as a partner in 1992. He has been engaged in litigation represented the firm’s clients at all levels of the Kenyan court system and has been involved in resolving major industrial disputes that required negotiations at the highest levels of the Ministry of Labour. He has acted for clients in the fields of industry, software development, agriculture, banking and finance, insurance, transport, communications. He has also rendered service pro bono to clients in family disputes and to victims of circumstances of conflict and violence. His areas of expertise have been in litigation, conveyance and property law but also include various aspects of company, intellectual property and commercial law and fraud investigation. He is the immediate past President of the Law Society of Kenya (2016 to 2018) and served as the inaugural chair of the Kisumu branch of the West Kenya Law Society (1998 to 2000), helping transform the standards of professionalism in practice and ethics in Kisumu. He has served as Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Nyanza Club, Vice Chairman of the Kisumu International School,on the committee of the Equator Motor Club,on the Transitional Advisory Board of the Braeburn Kisumu International School, as a director of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) and on the board of the Nyanza Reproductive Health Society (NRHS). He is a member of the Law Society of Kenya, the East Africa Law Society, Commonwealth Lawyers Association and the International Bar Association.

Studied law at the Uganda Christian University, Mukono-Uganda.He also holds a post-graduate diploma from the Kenya School of Law He joined the firm as an associate advocate in 2016 and is now a Partner. He specialises in litigation with particular emphasis on Property Law, Commercial Litigation and Constitutional and Judicial Review.
